In the Spirit of Thanksgiving...

Top Ten Things Moms can be Thankful for:

10) Baby Einstein videos. Seriously, how did moms ever find a minute to take a shower before this invention?!

9) Stores with public washrooms. If you are potty training (or currently pregnant), this one should hit home.

8) The Costco bulk box of Fish crackers. There are never enough in the grocery store bag when you account for the ones that must be crushed up and dropped under the carseat, shoved up bodily cavities, or left in a trail (Hansel and Gretel-like) following the stroller.

7) Naptime. Need I say more?

6) Grocery Stores that give out free cookies to young "shoppers." Finally, my daughter can chew on something OTHER than my list...and just MAYBE I'll get through "Ten Percent Tuesday" with my dignity intact!

5) Grandparents. Especially the kind that don't mind the havoc wreaked when 6 cousins under the age of 7 show up for Thanksgiving Dinner.

4) Helpful Husbands willing to get their hands dirty...sometimes literally!

3) Babysitters who come (and leave!) with a smile on their face. Mine's name is Erika...and she is the closest thing to an angel here on earth.

2) Those heart melting moments when your child looks at you and you know - without a doubt- that motherhood is more than a job...it's a calling. And one worth every crazy minute.

1) Grace to get through today and tomorrow...and every teachable moment in between!
