The Bright Side
It's definitely Monday.
But on the bright side...
The exersaucer needed a good take-it-completely-apart-and-submerse-the-entire-thing-in-bleach kind of cleaning anyway.
And she's so unbelievably cute that I likely won't be holding her at arms length for long.
On the bright side...
The kids love hot dogs and saimin, so they themselves will be utterly thrilled that I somehow spent the entire grocery budget only ten days into the month.
And no one ever died of accidentally half-chewing the cockroach that must have been in the bottom of the travel mug when they hastily poured their coffee earlier that morning and then never noticed it until it was, in fact, swimming in a mouthful of their coffee.
No one ever died of that, right?
Because I just might.
On the bright side, the bleach is already sitting out from the aforementioned exersaucer debacle and yes, I may just have to gargle with it.
And even further on the bright side, I may have just kicked my new-found coffee habit in one fell swoop. PLUS I suddenly have the urge to Spring Clean my entire house as though my life depends on it.
My husband will be thrilled with me!
Indeed, it's Monday. And with a start like this one, there will likely be no end to the day's challenges. But on the bright side...this is stuck in my head today:
Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts. -Psalm 103
And so in light of that...
Here's to Tuesday!!
